Since the first ferry started operation in 1728, this area has been the home of people who love the ocean and have made their livelihood harvesting the bountiful seafood off the North Carolina coast. We believe our way of life and the seafood we have to offer to you is second to none.

Our site has been in operation for over 40 years. In June 2011 Mitchell Seafood became the proud owner of this facility, totally renovating the building and grounds. We are now providing eastern North Carolina with some of the finest, freshest seafood around, seafood that is caught with our own boats and brought directly to our store.

Mitchell Seafood's mission is two-fold. The first is to provide you, our customer, with the best quality local shrimp, fish, and shellfish available. Secondly, we strive to promote our country's economy by continuing to employ local fishermen. You won't find any imported shrimp here. We will, however, be happy to ship wherever you so choose.

Since we process our seafood onsite we can package seafood as soon as it reaches our docks. We also own our own trucks so we are able to ensure prompt and safe delivery of your order. We take great pride in in the quality of our facily and our products. Our goal is to provide local fishermen with jobs and provide our customers with delicious wild caught seafood.
